On Sunday, May 19th the parishioners of Sts. Vartanantz Church gathered in the sanctuary to celebrate our Sunday School graduates; Ani Derderian, Ani Manzo, Bedros Zaytounian and Gygy Muililkwa. The four young adults were recognized for their dedication in attending Sunday School, with two of our graduates beginning from Kindergarten.

   Der Hayr addressed the graduates, reminding them that they are entering a new chapter at Sts. Vartanantz. Der Kapriel encouraged the graduates to continue their participation at Church in other ways. The eighth grade Sunday School teachers, Mr. Jason Simonian and Ms. Stacey Khatchadourian both spoke about maintaining their spirituality and following their “moral compass.”

  Matthew 5:16 states, “The believer in Christ is to allow their light to shine forth, with their moral compass not being swayed by worldly influences.”

In closing, the graduates were asked to be mindful of the lessons they have learned here at Church. Continue to be attentive, find a quiet spot so you can speak to God. He will show you the way. 

   Remember yourselves in the love that God has for you. He has made today perfect! Congratulations graduates and may God Bless each of you!
